KVS Admissions 2022: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has released the revised schedule for KVS Admission 2022 for class 1. The revised schedule for class 1 admission is available on the official site of KVS at kvsangathan.nic.in. The first provisional list and waiting list will be announced on April 29, 2022 as per the revised schedule. The second list will be released on May 6 and the third list will be released on May 10. The provisional list of candidates according to the priority service category for unreserved seats, if any, will be announced between May 6 and May 17, 2022.
Apart from this, the registration for class 2 will be from April 8 to April 16, 2022. The first list for class 2 admission will be announced on April 21, 2022 and for class 2 admission will be from April 22 to April 28, 2022. The last date for admission in all classes except class 11 will be 30 June 2022.
MP quota expired
The government has abolished the Member of Parliament (MP) quota for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and issued revised admission guidelines on Monday. The move comes under ‘special provisions’ including MP quota by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) in the next order. Till a week after the ban on admission has come. Under the KVS Special Dispense Admission Scheme or MP quota, an MP in the Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha could recommend a maximum of 10 students from their respective constituencies in each academic year for admission to classes 1 to 9.
There was a long standing demand by the MPs that either the MP quota should be abolished or the number of students taking admission on the basis of recommendation should be increased. As per the revised guideline issued by KVS, under the ‘Special Provisions’ section of the Admission Policy Several amendments have been made. Apart from the MP quota, KVS has also removed other quotas including 100 children of employees of the Ministry of Education, children and dependent grandchildren of MPs and retired KV employees, and the discretionary quota of the Chairman of the School Management Committee.
