You must have heard many exploits of traffic police. But this time such a feat has come to the fore that they will chew their fingers under their teeth. The job of the traffic police is to check vehicles and issue challans if documents are not completed. But this time such an incident has come to the fore that there was no mistake and the police cut the challan and handed it over. The case is that the Kerala Traffic Police has fined a car owner Rs 500 for not wearing a helmet. This case is from Thiruanthapuram, Kerala. Ajit’s fault was that he was not wearing a helmet while driving the car. This news is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
According to PTI, on April 26, the traffic police in Thiruanthapuram, Kerala cut the challan of a person named Ajit. Due to the fact that Ajit was not wearing a helmet, the police deducted a challan of Rs 500. Usually, such a fine is imposed for not wearing a helmet while riding a bike.
Ajit has a Maruti Alto car. He was traveling somewhere in this car. This happened because of a lapse on the part of the traffic police. Actually, the vehicle whose challan is deducted is found from the registration number of the bike. Because of this the police got confused and cut the challan.
Ajit, however, told the media that he has decided to file a complaint with the Motor Vehicles Department to resolve the issue. In this case, the police said that it could be a result of a clerical or a typographical error, when the registration number was being entered in the system.
