Karan Mishra, Gwalior: In Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday, in-charge minister Tulsi Silawat called a meeting early in the morning in connection with the water crisis and the works of Amrit Yojana. Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Cabinet Minister status Imarti Devi, Munnalal Goyal, District Panchayat President, President of Janpad Panchayats and all top officials were present in the meeting. In this meeting, the people’s representatives of the district told about the situation of water crisis in their areas. At the same time, Imarti Devi, who was present in the meeting, expressed displeasure, accusing the officers of not paying attention to the public representatives.
During this, the anger of Minister Imarti Devi also erupted and was seen saying that we have to go among the public. The officers come to open the tank and they also expressed their anger about the encroachment on the government ponds in the nearby rural areas including Dabra. Apart from this, Minister Imarti Devi demanded the in-charge minister to remove the encroachment. At the same time, the representatives of the Zilla Panchayat said that the failure of more than one hundred and fifty hand pumps in the district is a major reason for the drinking water crisis.
In-charge Minister Tulsi Silavat while instructing the officers to listen to the problems of public representatives and respect them. Tulsi Silavat said that this time due to scorching heat, water system is a big challenge across the district. In the meeting, it was discussed, Silavat said that adequate water will be given to the people, apart from this, a plan has been made to provide water for the cattle in summer.
Under the Prime Minister’s scheme, 71 new ponds will be dug in the district, old ponds will be renovated, as well as they will be revived by removing encroachments from the ponds. On the displeasure of the officials among the public representatives, Silavat said that the officials will listen to the people’s representatives. He said that it is the job of the officials to listen to the people of the Bharatiya Janata Party government and the people’s representatives.
