New Delhi: The report, quoting Afghan journalist Bashir Ahmed Gwakh, claimed that the husband of 30-year-old Shari Baloch, who killed three Chinese nationals on Tuesday at Karachi University, allegedly expressed pride over his wife’s “selfless act”. Posted a tweet.
Habitan Bashir Baloch tweeted, “Shri Jaan, your selfless work has left me speechless, but I am also trembling with pride today. Mahroch and Mir Hasan would become very proud human beings considering what a great woman their mother was. You will continue to be an important part of our lives.
The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack, which was carried out by the first woman ‘Fidayi’. According to a detailed statement issued by the Balochistan Liberation Army, Shari Baloch alias Bramsh Nazar was a resident of Abad Turbat. Shari, 30, was highly educated with a Masters in Zoology and was pursuing an MPhil.
A purported BLA statement said, “She was also working as a science teacher in a secondary school. As a student, Shari remained a member of the Baloch Students’ Union and was aware of the Baloch massacre and the occupation of Balochistan. “
“She added a new chapter in Baloch resistance history by becoming the first woman fidayeen of the Baloch nation,” the statement said.
According to reports, Shari Baloch is survived by her husband and two children (eight-year-old Mehrosh and four-year-old Mir Hasan). Her husband is a dentist and her father was a government employee.
Journalist Bashir Ahmad Gwakh said, “The family is well educated and had no affiliation with armed groups, which reflects how Baloch youth view the situation in Balochistan.”
Pakistani media has found Shari’s act surprising considering her education and her family background. According to The Express Tribune, Shari posted a goodbye message on her Twitter account about 10 hours before the operation.
