Mumbai: When Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won their first three matches of IPL 2022, they looked like a team that sorted out their batting style as well as their bowling style. But with four consecutive losses, Kolkata seems to be falling apart and they have now reached the eighth position in the points table. But captain Shreyas Iyer claims that once KKR win the match and go ahead, it will be difficult to stop them in the tournament.
Iyer said, “We are trying to do better in all departments to take the field and win matches. It is more than just doing well. Also, I am really proud of the fact that I am an amazing franchisee. I’m a part of.”
Iyer is confident that the team will come back strongly.
Iyer said, “It is definitely a proud moment for me to captain such an amazing team where we are seeing a lot of talent play. We started really well with three wins out of four matches. But after that things didn’t go well. But I still believe in the team.”
Wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings sees a strong comeback as a challenge. But he speaks of positive team spirit and trust within the team, which are the key to turn things around.
“We just got to know that the qualifiers are at the Eden Gardens, so we will try 100 percent to win the matches and go there and entertain our fans,” Iyer said.
