This budget smartphone comes as the successor to the Nokia G20, which was launched in India last year. Nokia has also announced a new variant of the Nokia C01 Plus with 32GB of internal storage.
Nokia on Tuesday launched the ‘Nokia G21’ smartphone with a battery life of around 3 days in the Indian market. This smartphone is available in two variants. The company said in a statement that the 4GB-64GB variant will be available for Rs 12,999 and the 6/128GB variant for Rs 14,999.
Sanmeet Singh Kochhar, Vice President, HMD Global, said, “The Nokia G-series is our mid-range smartphone series, featuring stylish Nordic designs, to provide a premium smartphone experience to as many people as possible.”
With all these features that will address the low battery concerns and safety concerns, “the Nokia G21 is built for people who love to create,” he said.
The device comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone packs a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. It is also equipped with an 8MP front camera.
The device runs Android 12 and will get two years of Android OS upgrade, is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T606 chip. Along with the Nokia G21, the company also launched two new feature phones – the Nokia 105 and Nokia 105 Plus – and two new audio accessories, the Nokia Comfort Earbuds and the Nokia Go Earbuds+.
