New Delhi: Meta-owned photo-sharing platform Instagram on Tuesday announced Enhanced Tags on Reels as a way to make it easier for creators to receive credit for their work. The company said the enhanced tag was launched for feeds in March, but is now available on reels as well.
“Proper creators credit and recognition is a starting point for discovery, new opportunities and economic empowerment. This is especially relevant, as more creators collaborate with each other,” the company said in a statement.
The company further added, “So far, the Instagram community has come together to support creators and find alternative ways to credit each other, such as tagging each other in captions and photos, so we are now introducing this feature.” bringing it into our product.”
Enhanced Tags allow a creator’s self-specified profile category to appear in their People tag on their professional accounts, so that people can share and view a creator’s specific contributions to a photo or video post.
The company said, “And since Reel also continues to be the largest contributor to engagement growth on Instagram, we are excited to expand Advanced Tags to Reels.
