San Francisco: Former US President Donald Trump has decided not to join Twitter despite Tesla CEO Elon Musk buying Twitter, saying ‘Twitter is too ‘boring’. Trump said that I am not coming to Twitter and will use my ‘Truth Social’ instead.
Trump told Fox News that “I’m not coming to Twitter, I’ll be on ‘Truth Social.’ Allen bought Twitter so he can improve it and he’s a good guy, but I’m on ‘Truth Social’ I will stay.”
Trump said he would start ‘truthing’ next week.
Musk acquired Twitter for about $44 billion shortly after the former president’s announcement.
Trump was permanently suspended from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat after the Capitol Hill riots on January 6, 2021.
“Twitter is very ‘boring’. I want to get rid of a lot of good voices and stereotypical voices from Twitter,” he said.
“It’s a platform for my voice. ‘Truth Social’ is a platform for my voice and my supporters,” Trump said.
‘But I want everyone to join ‘Truth Social’. Whatever the ideology of the person. They all use this platform’
He did not comment on getting in touch with Musk.
“I hope my critics stay on Twitter because that’s what freedom of expression means,” Musk tweeted.
