The owner of the social network company Twitter may become the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk. Elon Musk may become the new owner of Twitter from tonight. According to a Reuters report, Twitter is reconsidering the deal that Elon Musk had offered to buy this social media site. Musk will buy a share of Twitter for $ 54.20 in cash. The whole deal has been finalised, just a decision has to be taken on it.
The report added that the microblogging site is working on finalizing the terms of the transaction and if the talks go as expected, the deal could be finalized any time on Monday. It is being said that the board of Twitter has agreed. However, no official announcement has been made yet.
Recently, Elon Musk offered $ 43 billion (about Rs 3273.44 billion) to buy Twitter. There was a lot of controversy about this, but now according to a new report, Twitter is preparing to make this deal with Musk. Elon Musk made this proposal on 14 April.
He had said that the financing of the deal would be done in cash. Explaining the motive behind the purchase of Twitter, he said that the freedom of speech on this social media platform is under threat and he wants to ensure that it remains.
