LucknowUP Chief Minister Yogi said that for the production of food grains due to natural farming, action is being taken to set up testing labs in all 18 mandals in the first phase. Said that this will lead to branding of natural farming grains in the mandis. Chief Minister Yogi was speaking in virtual participation in the program organized by NITI Aayog in New Delhi on Monday. NITI Aayog had organized a one day National Workshop on Cow Based Natural Farming and Innovative Agriculture. Said that the farmers of natural farming could get a fair price, so we have started taking forward the work of systematic marketing by making a separate arrangement in every mandi. Apart from this, the state government is making special efforts at its level to promote natural farming in seven districts of Bundelkhand.
The Chief Minister also gave some suggestions. NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman Dr. Rajiv Kumar appreciated the efforts of the state government for natural farming. Yogi said that we are grateful to the Prime Minister that natural farming has been given place in the Union Budget also. I am happy to inform that with the inspiration of PM, in 2020, we took out Namami Gange Yatra in the state. After this, we had organized a special workshop in the state, in which more than 700 trainers associated with natural farming took part. In Uttar Pradesh, we are taking forward natural farming in a large area and we have got to see very good and miraculous results of it. Especially under Namami Gange and Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana, organic farming has been promoted in the first phase in the state in the last three years and since 2020, many innovations have been done in this area by adopting natural farming. Under the Namami Gange scheme, we are taking forward a big campaign to connect more than two lakh farmers in 27 districts of the state, including horticulture and agro-forestry in natural farming within 10 km along the banks of the Ganges.
Yogi said that I am happy to inform that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a virtual dialogue on natural farming on 16 December 2021, at that time one lakh 65 thousand farmers in all 825 development blocks of the state, including 1055 farmers of the state, started this natural farming. appeared to be directly related. The government is running many such programs in the state, through which progressive farmers have increased their income manifold by reducing their cost through natural farming. We also honor them from time to time. There are many of our farmers in the state who, by joining natural farming, are witnessing this campaign and to free Mother Earth from poison.
