The board of directors of the largest domestic health insurance company VZP, which met for the third time in a new composition, decided on Monday on a remuneration for director Zdeněk Kabátek.
This year, he will receive a financial bonus of CZK 1,309,500 gross. This was confirmed for the Report List by several members of the Board of Directors of Všeobecná zdravotní pojišťovna.
The salary of the director of VZP is 225 thousand crowns. And you can get an annual reward up to these six monthly salaries. That is up to 1.35 million crowns gross. This year, the board of directors approved a remuneration of 97 percent.
For example, in the last two years, Zdeněk Kabátek came to a slightly lower reward, it was 1.282 million.
Almost half of the director’s annual bonus now depends on whether he meets the general goals of Všeobecná zdravotní pojišťovna.
It must maintain or even increase the number of its policyholders. One quarter of the director’s remuneration depends on how the insurance company will fare financially or whether the amount of receivables will increase.
The jacket also receives a reward depending on whether VZP manages to increase the number of general practitioners or dentists. And it is also important for the amount of his remuneration that the number of aftercare beds increases.

At the beginning of last year, Kabátek came under pressure. This happened after the information appeared at that time that he had himself vaccinated against covid-19 at the Royal Vinohrady University Hospital in Prague.
Former Minister of Health Jan Blatný (for the YES movement) called on Kabátek in this context to draw conclusions. But the coat refused to resign. The board then decided that he had not violated any legislation and therefore held him in office.
