Made-in-India Social Media Platform Koo App has launched ‘India Spiritual Journey’ i.e. Spiritual Journey of India campaign. It is an initiative to enable devotees to digitally connect with temples and spiritual centers of India. Under this campaign, a biking enthusiast and an employee of Ku App, Prateek Khedkar will cover a distance of 4,000 km from Madhya Pradesh to Uttarakhand. Prateek Ku is associated with the operations team of the app and will visit major pilgrimage sites in the Himalayan state including Haridwar, Rishikesh, Uttarkashi, Gangotri, Yamunotri and Badrinath. His journey will end at Gaurikund, which is the base camp of Kedarnath trek. The campaign is supported by Uttarakhand Tourism and aims to help temple trusts and spiritual centers across the state harness the social media revolution to transform the current world. The ‘India Spiritual Journey’ will be gradually extended to pilgrimage centers across India.

Spirituality accounts on the platform have seen a significant increase of 50 per cent in the last quarter. Spiritual gurus actively discuss and post in local languages with their followers by taking advantage of the unique multilingual feature of the platform. The feature facilitates real-time translation of messages into various languages currently available on the platform, thereby increasing its reach. Chat rooms and live features help in increasing digital engagement between temples and devotees. More than 47 percent of spiritual accounts on the Ku app have more followers than any other micro-blogging platform in India.
