Laughter queen Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). On November 21 last year, NCB got marijuana from his house. The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested both of them for possession and consumption of drugs after the raid. Bharti and Harsh were granted bail only after a few days from the court at that time. However, NCB is not at all happy with this bail. During a recent case, NCB has mentioned its displeasure in a sessions court in Mumbai.
After the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the drug angle came to the fore in his case. When the police started the investigation, the names of many famous personalities came to the fore. NCB started inquiry. As the investigation of the case progressed, many celebs came on the radar of NCB. After the names of Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiya surfaced, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided their houses and arrested them. According to a report in Times of India, NCB is not happy with the decision to grant bail to Bharti and Harsh in the drugs case.
In the sessions court, the NCB, while talking on the magistrate’s court order, said that Bharati Singh and Harsh getting bail in the drugs case is a dangerous signal for the society. This shows that high profile accused get away easily. Actually, NCB said this in the court when he had reached for the court hearing regarding another accused in the drugs case.
On November 21 last year, NCB had recovered 86.50 grams of marijuana from Bharti and Harsh’s Andheri house. Bharti and Harsh had admitted that they both take ganja. After this Bharti and Harsh were arrested by NCB. However, on the very next day i.e. on November 22, Bharti and Harsh were granted bail.
The magistrate’s court had granted them bail because no convincing evidence was filed against Harsh and Bharti Singh by the NCB in the court. Bharti and Harsh were released on bail after depositing Rs 15,000 each.
