Yamaha is evaluating the possibilities of launching an electric two-wheeler in India. The company recently said that the future is that of electric vehicles but electric two-wheelers cannot completely replace a fuel-powered bike. It can prove to be a tough challenge for the company to convert all its products to fully electric.
The company was constantly working on understanding electric vehicle technology, the company has also invested with Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki to conduct studies on battery and power unit systems. Electric vehicles can also be manufactured in future with these companies.

Infra is also being prepared for this. The company also said that the range of electric vehicles will not cause any problems in the future, so it is believed that Yamaha may step into this area in the coming years. It remains to be seen if the company makes new models or electric embodiments of existing models.
Talk about the E01 and E02 concept was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show of two new scooters, out of which E01 has been trademarked, E02 did not reach here. Apart from this, EC-05 has been trademarked, it is being sold in the Taiwan market at a price of TWD 1,07,800 i.e. around Rs 2,79,604 lakh.

The E01 is a maxi-style scooter whose performance is similar to a 125 cc petrol power scooter, it can also be given a lot of features and equipment. It is expected to be given features like ABS, Bluetooth connectivity, swappable battery, geo fencing etc.
Talk about EC-05, this electric scooter has not been brought to the international market yet. The electric scooter is produced in collaboration with Taiwan-based e-scooter manufacturer Gogoro. It has G2 aluminum alloy water-cooled motor and Mosfet water-cooled motor controller.

It is sold in two variants, UBS and ABS. The motor of this electric scooter provides 19.3 kW and 26 Newton meter torque. For braking, a 245 mm front disc and a 190 mm rear disc have been given. Telescopic fork in front and dual shock absorbers are provided for suspension.
