Internet desk. South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Company today launched its much-awaited electric car the Ionic-5 mid-size crossover. The company has great expectations from this car. With the help of this car, Hyundai Motor Company can be ranked third in the list of global electric vehicle manufacturers by 2025. Hyundai Motors President Michael Cole has stated that the starting price of this car will be around 37 lakhs.
Hyundai Motors told the media on the occasion that the Ionic-5 has been developed on the company’s new electric vehicle platform. The platform uses its own battery module technology and requires fewer components than Hyundai’s existing electric cars, allowing it to be produced faster at a lower cost.
The maximum driving range of this car will be around 480 kms (298 mi). Hyundai said in a statement, the car will be available with two battery pack options – 58- (kWh) and 72.6 kWh. It will be available in select areas in the first half of 2021.
