According to the latest information, the CNG variant of Ford’s compact sedan Ford Aspire has been spotted during testing recently. Let me tell you that Ford Aspire is currently being sold in the market with two engine options.

A CNG test kit has been placed in the rear of the Ford Aspire, as can be seen in the picture. According to the information, the company can soon launch this car in the Indian market. The picture has been taken near the company’s manufacturing facility in Chennai.
It can be understood by looking at the picture that no other changes have been made in the Ford Aspire’s CNG model compared to the regular model. Let me tell you that Ford had also launched this car earlier in the market with CNG option.

But its sales were discontinued last year due to the implementation of BS6 emission standards. Now the company is going to market its CNG variant with BS6 emission standards. It is believed that the CNG variant will be launched mainly for consumers and cab drivers.
It will be made available for those who are looking for a more affordable vehicle. Let me tell you that currently Hyundai’s compact sedan Hyundai Aura is the only sedan in the segment that is being sold in the market along with the CNG variant.

Talking about the Ford Aspire CNG engine, it will use the existing 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Dragon series petrol engine. With BS4 emissions, this engine delivers 95 Bhp of power and 119 Newton meter of torque.
However, its power output will be slightly reduced in the CNG variant. Apart from the petrol engine, the car is also available with a 1.5-liter, TDCI diesel engine. This engine provides 99 Bhp of power and 215 Newton meter of torque.
