Amjon Prime’s national head Aparna Purohit reached Lucknow, recorded statement in Hazratganj police station in ‘Tandav’ dispute

The controversy over the ‘Tandava’ web series is yet to stop. Aparna Purohit, national head of OTT platform, Amazon Prime, arrived in Hazratganj Kotwali on Tuesday afternoon to record his statement. Inspector Hazratganj Amarnath Verma had filed a case regarding the disputed scene in the web series. Hazratganj police has prepared a list of about 100 questions in the case. Questions are being asked from Aparna in a closed room. Aparna is also accompanied by her lawyer.

Police had pasted the noticeIn this case, the team of Hazratganj police went to Mumbai to record the statements of the web series director and other accused. The notice was pasted for questioning there.

Allahabad High Court was instructed
Judge Dinesh Kumar Singh of the Single Bench of Allahabad High Court had instructed Aparna Purohit in the case to reach Hazratganj Kotwali and record his statement. After that she has reached Lucknow. The investigator gave Aparna time to reach Kotwali at 2 pm.

The case was filed on 18 January
After the release of the ‘Tandava’ web series, there was a protest across the country over the disputed scene. Many Hindu organizations had protested at various places. After this, on January 18 in Lucknow, Inspector Amarnath Verma of Hazratganj Kotwali was booked on Tahrir for spreading hatred and spreading unrest in society and other sections. Apart from Aparna Purohit, a case was registered against the series director Ali Abbas Zafar, producer Himanshu Krishna Meher and writer Gaurav Solanki.
