Hyderabad Bhuma Akhila Priya, the chief accused and former tourism minister in the Boinpally kidnapping case, has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. The husband of the former minister is still absconding in this case.
After the three-day police remand ended on Thursday, the police presented Akhila Priya before the judge today. Priya was presented at the judge’s residence due to Makar Sankranti holiday. At the same time, the police also handed over the statements related to the inquiry for three days. The judge has sent Akhila Priya to Chanchalguda jail in judicial custody. Meanwhile, Akhila Priya’s lawyers appealed to grant him bail. During police remand, Priya was interrogated for three days at Begumpet Women’s Police Station. According to sources, 300 questions were asked to Akhila Priya during the police interrogation. Priya kept sitting silently on many questions. Despite this, the police has extracted many important information from Akhila Priya.
According to police sources, before the abduction, her husband Bhargava Ram and aide Guntur Srinu had raked the house of national badminton player Praveen Rao and carried out the kidnapping at his behest. According to police sources, the former minister has told the police that he had hatched a conspiracy to kidnap, inspired by the film ‘Special 26’ starring Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. Before executing the conspiracy, Akhila Priya, along with husband Bhargava Ram and her brother-in-law Chandrahas, along with kidnapping conspirator Srinu, had shown Akshay’s film to the accused involved in the kidnapping.
It is noteworthy that in the film ‘Special 26’, Akshay Kumar and his associates raided as fake income tax officials. The former Tourism Minister of Andhra Pradesh had also trained the accused to become fake income tax officials on the land property dispute. After this, the Income Tax officials hired a cinema company of the Colony located in Srinagar, Nagar and took fake identity cards. In this work, Akhil Priya, her husband Bhargava Ram and colleague Shrinun had full cooperation in this work. Former minister Priya’s husband Bhargava Ram is still absconding.
