Nagaur The other workers became angry on Wednesday morning after a laborer died at Ambuja Cement plant in Mundwa late on Tuesday. In the morning, the mob of workers gathered outside the factory became furious. Angry laborers set fire to vehicles parked in the factory. Tortured in one part of the office. Mundwa police station reached the spot, but by then the situation got so bad that the police could not handle it. The police tried to convince the laborers, but to no avail.
According to the police, a laborer died of a fall late on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Vijendra Chaudhary, a resident of Bihar. When the other laborers came to know of the death of the fellow, they reached there. During this time the management did not allow the laborers to go near the dead body. This made the workers angry. He started a commotion. The workers came out on the stone. The workers rained stones and set fire on vehicles and buildings standing in the factory. He also did not leave the ambulance and set him on fire.
The workers had alleged that the factory management was getting more work done by the workers. They are also not being paid allowance or other amount on time. Not only this, the safety of workers is also not being taken care of. He had been complaining to the management about this for a long time, but the hearing was not being held. The workers demand that the family of the deceased be given appropriate compensation. Until this happens, they will be frozen on the spot. The workers present on the spot have calmed down. The factory is closed. Negotiations are going on on both sides.
