Jhajjar (HP): Raising a helping hand in the peasant movement, half a dozen friends from Muktsar Sahib in Punjab have reached the ticking border with four legs. According to these young people who came here with cots, they had collected money together to get these four-footers built.
Mantej Singh said that about one lakh rupees have been spent on these 150 cots. He said that the elderly farmers were facing difficulties in sitting and getting up in the trolley at the site of the agitation. Now the elders will not have to face difficulties after getting these charpoys. He also urged the government to withdraw the agricultural laws at the earliest.
CM’s effigy burnt at Khatkad toll
Uchana / Jind (HP): In protest against the three new agricultural laws, the farmers continued to sit on the Khatkad toll for the 18th day on Tuesday on the call of the United Farmers Front. For 18 days, tolls have also been made free for the movement of vehicles from farmers. The dharna was presided over by Leela Mohangarh Chhapra. The farmers leaders strongly condemned the Karnal police case registered against 900 farmers at the picket site and demanded the cancellation of the registered case with immediate effect. Farmers also expressed anger by blowing an effigy of CM Manohar Lal against it. Women farmer Sikkim Safa Khedi said that sometimes BJP, JJP leaders say that it is not the farmers but Congress workers and sometimes they say that other political parties are misleading the farmers. Farmers are not getting seduced by anyone. Bijendra Sandhu, Rakesh Khatkar, Bharat Singh former sarpanch, Rajendra Jain Barsola etc. were present on this occasion.
