Bikaner. Under the National Food Security Scheme, an FIR will be lodged for not depositing the amount by 15 January by the State Personnel lifting the ration issued to the poorest and needy people. Also, the Head of the Department / Office of such personnel will be written for departmental action.
It is noteworthy that a large number of government personnel residing in Bikaner district, while in service, took advantage of the NFS scheme incorrectly. Under this scheme, every NFS ration card holder is given a ration at the rate of Rs 02 and Rs 01 per kg, depending on the number of members mentioned in the card. Despite being ineligible as per the instructions of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Rajasthan, the personnel lifting the ration under this scheme will now have to deposit the amount at the rate of Rs 27 per kg against the ration of Rs 01-02 per kg raised by them. .
District Logistics Officer Yashwant Bhakar said on Tuesday that 1667 such state personnel were identified in Bikaner district. These employees have been informed to deposit notice amount. So far, 563 state personnel have deposited the amount. Action has been taken to recover Rs 70.00 lakh from these personnel and the amount has been deposited in the treasury.
Bhakar said that even if the government employees who have not received the notice so far, if the ration has been raised under the National Food Security Scheme despite getting a job, they can get information about the amount by contacting the District Logistics Office. If the ration has not been raised by them and the ration has been raised by someone else using their ration card, then the employee can submit a complaint in writing to the District Logistics Office, on the basis of which the appropriate fair price shopper will act as per the rules. Bhakar said that at present, the amount has been deposited by most of the personnel of the state government. Bhaker said that if the Central Government personnel have also raised the ration under the National Food Security Scheme, they will also have to deposit the amount of ration raised under this scheme.
