New Delhi Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reached Goa Medical College on Tuesday and inquired about the health of Union Minister Shripad Naik who was injured in the car accident. He said that Goa doctors had consulted doctors of AIIMS, Delhi has spoken. From there a team will come here and consult the doctors. If needed, they will be taken to Delhi but it will depend on the doctors here.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Goa this morning and inquired about the health condition of Union Minister Shripad Naik who was injured in a road accident yesterday at Goa Medical College with a team of doctors. He said that even after the accident yesterday, I and the Prime Minister spoke to the Chief Minister of Goa. After that the PM called me and asked to come to Goa expressing concern. After talking to the doctors, he told that the condition of Shripad Naik is stable, according to the doctor, he is currently out of danger.
He told that Goan doctors have spoken to the director of AIIMS, Delhi. A team from Delhi will come here and consult the doctors. They can also be taken to Delhi for treatment if needed. However, it depends on the doctors here. He met the family members of Minister of State for Defense Shripad Naik and expressed his condolences on the death of Mrs. Vijaya Naik in the accident and said that God may give her family the strength to bear this grief.

The Defense Minister tweeted late last night saying, “I am shocked and extremely saddened by the news of the Minister of State for Defense Shri Shripad Naik being injured in a road accident.” I have a conversation with the Chief Minister of Goa, Mr. Pramod Sawant. The State Government is properly managing Shripadji’s treatment. Pray to God that Shripadji is healthy soon. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also said that a team of doctors is treating him under the leadership of Dr. Shivanand Bandekar, Dean of GMCH. We are providing them the best medical care. Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that another medical team is ready to ensure the best treatment for Naik.
The car of Union AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik was overturned in Ankola, Karnataka on Monday, in which Naik’s wife Vijaya Naik and PA were killed and Naik was also seriously injured in the accident. After this he was brought to the Medical College of Goa. Naik, a resident of Goa, was going to Gokarna with his wife Vijaya. Between Yellapur to Gokarna, his driver lost control of the car and the car overturned.
