On Tuesday, thousands of villagers took out a tractor journey in the city on the call of United Kisan Morcha Bhiwani. The city came to a complete standstill due to large number of tractors arriving. Yadvendra Singh, great-grandson of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, left this journey from Hooda Park. Hundreds of tractors drove from Hooda Park to Chandrasekhar Chowk, Meham Road, Agrasen Chowk via Dadri Hanuman Gate, Dinod Gate, Ghantaghar and back to Hooda Park via Court Road. The leaders of the United Front addressed the visit and spoke of continuing the agitation till the anti-farmer law is not repealed and on 26 January appealed to go to Delhi with tractors. Meanwhile, Rashtriya Kisan Morcha and Bahujan Kranti Morcha staged a sit-in in front of Surendra Memorial Park in front of the DC office of Bhiwani in support of the farmers. The protest demonstration was jointly chaired by Jagdish Jangra, convener of Rashtriya Kisan Morcha, Dr. Pawan Rivadi of Bahujan Mukti Party. Farmers-laborers and employees surrounded the Deputy Commissioner Office. Earlier, laborers and farmers gathered at Bir Singh Park and employees at Hooda Park. At both places, the meeting was chaired by Situ District President Rammehar Singh and District Chief of Sarva Karmachari Sangh, Sundershan Saroha.
Movement will continue on reception of Supreme Court decision
The Supreme Court’s decision on agricultural laws is welcome, but till the three laws are repealed, the peasant movement will continue. The speakers announced this while addressing the farmers’ protest at Kitalana toll. Farmer leaders said that preparations for the farmer parade have been started on 26 January. Tractors will be rehearsed in Dadri on January 17 and in Badda on March 18. He said that copies of the three laws will be lit at all picketing sites on 13 January. The head of the vegetable market Nitin Janghu arrived at the dharna site on Tuesday for the eighth time with relief material. On the 19th day at Kitalana toll, under the joint chairmanship of Khap 40 secretary Narsingh DPE, Raj Singh Dhanana, Bhakiyu district head Rakesh Arya, remained toll free.
